The acquisition centered on revitalizing a company with deep motorsport roots and repositioning it as a creator of highly desirable, collectible automotive assets.
The Strategy
OIO Group recognized the significant growth of the hypercar segment post-2015 and repositioned Apollo to capture this opportunity. The brand was aligned with the core elements most sought after by global collectors, exclusivity, radical design, and uncompromising performance. The Intensa Emozione (IE) was introduced as a revival statement, showcasing both extreme engineering and visceral artistry. By limiting production to ten track-only vehicles, Apollo reinforced scarcity, secured prestige positioning, and generated strong recognition within the global collector community.
The Result
Apollo swiftly ascended to the upper echelon of the hypercar market. The Intensa Emozione established the brand as an icon of audacious design with all units placed in the hands of discerning global collectors. Following this success, OIO Group executed a strategic exit, realizing significant value while leaving Apollo positioned as a lasting name in the ultra-luxury automotive space.
